Important Update: Mounjaro (Tirzepatide) Availability

We are aware of recent media coverage and interest around Mounjaro (Tirzepatide).

Mounjaro is not yet available to GP’s to prescribe for weight loss, as NHS Devon has not signed off on its use locally. As soon as Devon ICB offer a prescribing pathway for GP’s, including wraparound healthy lifestyle and psychology services, strict national criteria will apply, and it will not be suitable or available for everyone.

We kindly ask that patients do not contact the surgery to request appointments or prescriptions for Mounjaro at this time. We will provide updates via our website as soon as guidance changes or local prescribing becomes available.

We would like to clarify that Mounjaro will continue to be prescribed by us to eligible patients with type 2 diabetes, in line with national prescribing guidance.
