Book an Appointment

How do I book an appointment?

To request clinical support including ordering medication, or if you have an admin query, please use our online platform called Rapid Health.

Just click on Contact us online on the image bellow or follow this link:

https://compasshouse-consult.uk.rapidhealth.co.uk

Rapidhealthcontactusonlinefinal

You can access this between 8AM and 6.30PM Monday to Friday except Weekends & Bank Holidays.

If you are unable to use this option, please call 01803 855 897 and select Option 4. One of our Care Coordinators will complete the form with you. Please note that they will need to ask you several questions to enable them to submit the request on your behalf.

Alternatively, you can come into our Reception at Brixham King Street or Galmpton Langdon Lane and use the tablet connected to internet we have provided for patients. If you need help with this, please ask at the front desk.

If you become unwell after 4PM, you can call the Practice and the teams here will discuss your case with a clinician. The clinician will then decide if a review is required that day.

You are now able to request an appointment with a nurse for Asthma, COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease) or Cervical Screening 24/7 via our online form here: https://compasshousemedical.com/nurse-appointment-request

If you do not have online access and require a nurse appointment then please call our care coordinators on 01803 855 897 and select Option 2.

Cancel an appointment

If you are unable to attend for an appointment please let us know as soon as possible so that we can offer it to someone else.

Appointments can be cancelled by calling the main telephone number on 01803 855897 then Option 1, or online through Patient Access / NHS App.

We fully understand that patients will sometimes accidentally miss an appointment, but if you know that you cannot keep a booked appointment please let us know as soon as possible. This means that we can offer the appointment slot to someone else.

We have hours of wasted clinical time each month through patients that “did not attend” (DNA’s). Cancelling an appointment means we can then offer that appointment to someone else and help shorten wait times to see clinicians.

Arriving late for appointments

Whilst we understand and sympathise when patients arrive late for appointments, each patient that arrives late has a knock on effect. It can cause considerable difficulties for patients booked later in the day that may have to wait longer than expected to see the Clinician and also for staff who may have other commitments.

In order to keep some consistency in our management of late arrivals, any patient running more than 10 minutes late will be referred to the clinician to see if they can still be seen but they may be asked to re-book the appointment at another time. This is so that we can be fair to all our patients that day and limit the effects of lateness.

Please note that being up to 10 minutes late for an appointment still has a knock on effect for the clinician and the remainder of patients throughout the day so please help them by arriving in plenty of time for your appointment whenever possible.

Weekend Enhanced Access

There are clinics available each weekend situated in a central hub location.

The hub location for our patients is Pembroke House Surgery, Paignton, TQ3 2EZ.
