Children under 18 and the NHS COVID Pass
Who can get an NHS COVID Pass for travel
You need to be aged 12 or over to get a digital NHS COVID Pass for travel.
For children aged 5 and over, you can ask for an NHS COVID Pass for travel to be sent by post.
An NHS COVID Pass for travel can be based on either your vaccination status or on a positive NHS PCR test result (your recovery status).
You can no longer get an NHS COVID Pass based on a medical exemption. But, if you already have a medical exemption, this will show in the NHS App when you select “Check your COVID-19 vaccine record”.

Get an NHS COVID Pass online – if you are aged 12 or over
You can get your NHS COVID Pass online if you’re aged 12 or over.
You do not need to be registered with a GP.
You do not need a smartphone or to download an app.
Children aged 5 to 11
You can apply for a child aged 5 to 11, living in England, Wales or Isle of Man, if you are the child’s parent or guardian.
You can call 119 for an NHS COVID Pass (for travel) by post or can use the online form by following link: https://covid-status-letter.service.nhsx.nhs.uk/who-are-you-requesting-for
